Coronavirus COVID-19 Information
We want to assure everyone that we are doing everything possible to keep you all safe within our clinic and we remain open in the clinic for hands on therapy and rehabilitation. At this point in time the government has made physiotherapy exempt from closures as the importance of continuation of Physiotherapy and rehabilitation is noted as important to assist in offloading the hospitals whom are already overwhelmed.
We thank you for your cooperation over this time in informing us of any illness or symptoms and self quarantining where ever there is any possible or confirmed illness or if you have had contact with people with the illness or overseas in the last month.
What we are doing :
- all beds have paper protectors in place which are changed between every client;
We thank you for your cooperation over this time in informing us of any illness or symptoms and self quarantining where ever there is any possible or confirmed illness or if you have had contact with people with the illness or overseas in the last month.
What we are doing :
- all beds have paper protectors in place which are changed between every client;
- Our treatment rooms are spread 15m apart and are enclosed rooms ( i.e not curtain partitions) . Our practitioners are being requested to stay w one treatment room so that we are not switching between rooms to limit cross over use;
- We are a low density practice so at one time there is a max of two physiotherapists in the practice as well as admin staff. We see one patient at a time. Exercise Rehabilitation sessions are limited to three patients in our rehabilitation area. Fortunately our clinic is large enough and very long that we can spread everyone adequately to ensure we are not in close contact with others except the practitioner.
- Sheets and towels have been removed from bedding and replaced with vinyl covers to allow wiping w antibacterial spray between every patient;
- all equipment has been sprayed after every use of handling e.g therabands etc
- we have always and continue to use alcohol based hand sanitisers between each client; - We will be using gloves to treat. We will not be wearing masks at this time as the WHO have asked us to only utilise in high risk patients which we are not seeing at our clinic at this time ( i.e. we will being deferring patients to later dates if they have any symptoms noted in the information contained in this post) . Our patients fall in the low risk category and we have been asked to preserve all masks for the use in the hospitals where there are beginning to be shortages;
- all our staff have been advised in symptoms to watch for and infection control practices;
- all contact surfaces ie door handles , eftpos terminal etc are being sprayed w medical grade anti bacterial sprays
- every client is asked to wash their hands w either soap and water in our facilities or with alcohol based hand wipes immediately on entry to our premises and before attending appointments.
- information and signage is posted in the practice detailing signs and symptoms and when to report. - We are asking patients to wait for their appointments if they are able to mobilise appropriate and leave our waiting room for those who require the seats e.g post operative patients , so that we can limit the number of people in our waiting area;
- For rehabilitation purposes we have spread our exercise equipment to be greater than 3-5m apart to comply w the 1 person per 4m2 rules. Every surface utilised is wiped w alcohol wipes for metal or hard surfaces and w anti bacterial sprays for soft surface like vinyl
- For product purchases we can organise pre purchase via email or over the phone for quick pick up from our door without contact with us or can have products shipped direct to you with additional postage costs.
- We have set up Online video consultations for those who are anxious about attending the practice in person or who have any symptoms
Services you may not know we do:
Rescheduling of appointments for at risk patients:
At this stage to limit risk of spread we ask you to call to move appointments forward two weeks or until your symptoms resolve for all clients with any symptoms or contact with others who may have come in contact with the virus.
We are working as per usual otherwise so thank you still for your ongoing support as we negotiate this period.
We are calm ourselves as most of these infection control practices are standard routine to us as we always endeavour to bring you a clean and safe place to attend for treatment.
Please if you don’t have any symptoms or contact risks, know we have your health and wellness always as priority and it is safe to attend. Small businesses like ours rely on your support in these times so we ask people not to panic about attending.
More information on CoVID-19 can be sourced from the Australian Department of Health website https://www.health.gov.au/resources/collections/novel-coronavirus-2019-ncov-resources

We wish everyone good health and please stay safe!
