Director, Lauren Bailey is an experienced Physiotherapist working in private practice and sports for over 17 years.
Lauren enjoys the diversity of her clientele having worked with many sports teams, athletes and dancers over the years as well as general musculoskeletal patients from all ages. She has an interest in complex cases, post surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, pre/post natal care and pelvic and hip pain.
Lauren has been privileged to work with both local and international athletes from club to professional level, most memorably working with several world champion/Olympic level athletes, the AFL NSW/ACT Talented player program, touring with an American basketball team, and as Physio on the Lady Gaga ‘Born This Way' tour in 2012.
Always involved in sport herself, she has a personal background in gymnastics and diving having competed nationally growing up. More recently in her continued commitment to health and fitness, Lauren has gone on to compete Australia wide in marathon running and long course/Ironman triathlon for which she raced as a sponsored athlete for several years.
Lauren began Pilates as an athlete to assist injury prevention and enhance performance; however after sustaining significant injuries in some bad cycling accidents she continues to use it for rehabilitation purposes. This inside knowledge has been invaluable to ensure Lauren can give the best rehabilitative care having truly tried and tested everything she prescribes to others.
Lauren loves building her knowledge in all areas of physiotherapy and frequently attends training courses to advance her knowledge to give patients the most up to date information and practice possible. She has completed advanced training in Sports Physiotherapy, Pilates, Women's Health, Pre and post natal care and exercise, post surgical care and rehabiulitation and numeruous advanced manual therapy courses (including muscle energy techniques, LJ Lee's Connect therapy which gives a whole body approach to assessment and treatment looking for interlinking relationships between body areas). Lauren also has additional training in dry needling, Kinesio taping, and Real time Ultrasound for imaging and Biofeedback. With so many techniques to choose from Lauren knows there is no one size fits all approach to patient care allowing her to select and adjust treatment plans to suit the individual to get the most optimal outcome for patients.
